YOU MAY BE ASKED TO DO THINGS THAT SEEM SILLY

God is far more interested in developing my character and my message, than he is in making my problems bother me less. remember Naaman the leper? He had to do something really IRRELEVANT AND POINTLESS, from his perspective, IN ORDER TO BE HEALED. I’ve often given people advice which they felt was too pat or just not up to the task of helping their enormous problems. They ignored my advice for a long time and then in desperation decided to give it a try. They then write, “I can’t believe it, it actually helped!”

For example, at lunch, dinner and bedtime I stop and search, become mindful  of the last 4 hours looking for something positive to thank God for, something he helped me do, something he helped another do, something he gave me to enjoy, something about my design that I experienced as positive and beneficial. Then I note it, whisper a prayer of thanks, and move on.

God meets me when I obey and turns my small and feeble efforts into mountain movers. When I start applying the guidance I have I see God work.

LORD HELP ME TO DO THE LITTLE I CAN AND BE OK WITH HOW LITTLE IT IS. HELP ME TO BE FAITHFULL WITH MY PART TO THE END AND REMEMBER TO TELL OTHERS WHAT YOU DO WITH MY EFFORTS, THAT MEN MAY SEE MY OBEDIENCE AND GLORIFY MY FATHER IN HEAVEN.
